Cap it off with the views from the astounding Rova, atop the mountain of Tana in the Haute-Ville ("High Town,") including the Ambohimanga Palace.

Departing Gare at 7:00 a.m., you will first make your way to "Tana", the most vivid and vibrant city in Madagascar.  Tana offers a kaleidoscope of ethnic foods, flavors, fashion, and is built on a hill overlooking the planes of the central rift of the island. Next, you are onward to Rova which looks out over the city below for a great viewpoint. Lake Anosy, the government and historical buildings, the president's house, and the central markets and antique train station of Tana intertwine with the San-Francisco-like hills and winding roads with faded French splendor and unique local architecture. In the afternoon you will drive more than an hour out of the city to visit Lemurs in the closest park to the city where you can see several species.  Along the way you will detour to Ambohimanga, palace of the queen of the old kingdoms of Madagascar. In the evening, return to your chosen hotel at approx 4 p.m.

MACOLLINE HERITAGE FOREST

Localization: 3km from Antalaha
Duration by car: 10mn
Duration of visit: 4 hours

PROGRAM
Departure to Macolline forest. Arrival in the reserve, we hike to admire the fauna and flora of the region. Then we cross a little river in a pirogue for a few minutes. After the crossing, we will visit a brickyard and we will also have the opportunity to taste the fruits of the season. We will finish the hike after about 4 hours of visit. Return to Antalaha.

Macolline is a botanical trail located at 3km from Antalaha. The forest is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the forest, there are native plants, precious trees, and fruit trees planted by the Macolline Protection Association. Endemic fauna is also present in the place such as chameleons, insects, lemurs.

At 14h p.m, we begin of our course and preparation. We have fun preparing 3 plats: 2 courses for dinner, and the dessert. With our chef, we prepare Malagasy food, with ingredients not thrown together in quite this fashion in any other country in the world. 

We prepare all the dinner with him. And around 19h (7pm), we enjoy our hard-earned dinner with the chef! 

Note that the course will be carried out at the chef’s house on the upper town in the old quarter of Antsahatsiroha

Known as the "Red Island" Madagascar is the fourth largest island on Earth known for its abundance of endemic wildlife. From large mountainous regions quickly transitioning to lush, verdant rainforests, down to its pristine turquoise waters, Madagascar is an absolute paradise.

The island is most famous, however, for its cute little creatures, native to the island, Lemurs. There are several species of lemurs on the island that cannot be found anywhere else on the planet. In addition to these precious little animals, Baobob, trees that are hundreds of years old also draw an incredible number of visitors each year.

Over the course of 20 days, you have a chance to experience all of the above and much more. The tour takes you to different villages and cities allowing for some quality local interaction and a chance to experience the most spectacular examples of nature.

Day 1: Once you land in the capital city, Antananarivo (Tana), today, you will be met and greeted by a representative and transferred to the Chalet des Roses Hotel for check-in. This evening is to rest and relax after your flight.
Day 2: This morning we will make our way from Tana to Andasibe to visit Peyrieras Reserve. Tonight we will stay at the Feon'ny ala Hotel in Andasibe.
Day 3: Our entire day today will involve Andasibe National Reserve and Vakona Reserve before we make our way back to the hotel for the evening. 
Day 4: Drive to Ansirabe today and enjoy a tour of the town. Tonight we will stay at Les Chambres du Voyageur
Day 5: Drive to Amositra today for a city tour and handcraft and marquetry workshop. Overnight at Artisan Hotel
Day 6: Driving to Ranomafana to visit the UNESCO site of Zafimaniry Village. Overnight at Le Grenat Hotel.
Day 7: Ranomafana National Park and village visit all day.
Day 8: Drive from Ranomafana to Manakara where you will experience a beautiful view of the east coast of Mada.
Day 9: Today we will explore Manakara. Today will include a visit to the Cana des Pangalanes and also to a local fisherman village by canoe. We will also include a city visit of Manakara today. Overnight at La Vanille Hotel.
Day 10: Drive to Fianarantsoa for a city tour before settling in at the Zomatel Hotel for the night.
Day 11: Drive to Ranohira where we will visit a wine deposit and do a village visit before calling it at night at the Mote de I'Isalo
Day 12: Today we will visit the Isalo National Park in Ranohira.
Day 13: Drive to Ifaty where we will visit the Mahafaly tombs. Overnight at La Mira Hotel
Day 14: Today is a free day on the beach in Ifaty.
Day 15: Free day in Ifaty
Day 16: Today we will make our way from Ifaty back to Ranohira where we will stay overnight.
Day 17: Today we will drive to Ambalavao where we will visit the Anja Reserve and experience the handicraft of Antemoro paper. Overnight at Les Bougainvilliers Hotel.
Day 18: This morning we will drive back to Antsirabe and visit the local artisans here. This afternoon we will check-in and stay overnight at Les Chambres Voyageur Hotel
Day 19: As we make our way back to Antananarivo today, we experience an aluminium pot workshop in Ambatolampy on the way. Overnight in Antananarivo. 
Day 20: On our last day today, we will do a small city tour before you are transferred to the airport for your flight out.
